First generation entrepreneur and civil engineer Mr. Rohtas Goel founded Omaxe in 1987 to undertake construction and contracting business . He started his professional career with a private construction firm , but was quick to realize that his talents would best utilized if he has his own identity. This factor motivated him to launch his own business and the rest is history. Increase in the number of projects over the last few years , clearly portrays the deeper confidence of the people and the market in Omaxe.
In 2001, the company entered into the evolving real estate sector. Omaxe got listed on BSE and NSE in 2007 and presently has a market cap of approx. Rs 2500 crore. A visionary that Mr. Goel is, he was amongst the first to diversify his business into Tier II & III cities where he saw huge potential to be tapped and a lot of demand-supply gap to bridge.
“I wish to make real estate a fine art. Each project for us is an individual piece of sculpture, where we satisfy each client’s individual criteria and build a piece of art by which everyone will remember us” adds Rohtas Goel. He has always endeavoured to work for the betterment of the society and as a part of Corporate Responsibility towards the society he has created Omaxe Foundation, a Non-Profit Society as an arm of Omaxe Group. He was also appointed as the honorary consulate of the first Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Congo- Brazzaville, in India.
