What Franchise Success Depends Upon: My Learnings From Meeting Franchise Seekers at Yashobhoomi Delhi franchise show and Other Franchise Events

Recently, we participated in one of India’s biggest franchise exhibitions at Yashobhoomi in May. As the founder of Regrob, this year I personally stood at the stall with my team to interact directly with franchise seekers from across India interested in the real estate franchise business.

Honestly, I enjoyed every moment of it.

Meeting people from different cities, backgrounds, and mindsets reminded me of my early entrepreneurial days. We have been participating in franchise exhibitions for almost 10 years, but this time, the level of enthusiasm I witnessed was something I had never seen before.

People today are highly excited about entrepreneurship, startups, and the growing opportunities in the real estate franchise industry in India.

Everyone wants to build something of their own. People are searching for freedom, identity, growth, and financial independence. Many professionals and business owners are now actively exploring real estate franchise opportunities because the sector is evolving rapidly with technology, branding, and organized business models.

And as a founder, I believe my job is not only to build systems from the office but also to stand on the ground and understand the real pulse of the market.

In those two days alone, I personally interacted with more than 30 serious franchise seekers interested in starting a real estate franchise with Regrob.

Some people stood at our stall for a long time asking detailed questions. Some took my personal number and later called me to understand the business deeply. Some people openly said:

“Vivek, we already know everything about this business.”

And then there were others who simply wanted to learn.

Over the years, one thing has become very clear to me:

The people who genuinely want to understand things deeply are the ones who eventually become successful real estate franchise partners.

Whenever someone meets us, I always encourage them to do multiple meetings — first with the team, then with me personally. Because taking a real estate franchise is not only about business models, ROI, commissions, leads, or products.

The first thing is understanding each other.

Are we compatible in terms of values, work culture, mindset, and long-term vision?

Only after that should business discussions begin.

The franchise partners who spend significant time understanding us, our systems, our culture, and our execution philosophy are usually the ones who succeed in the long run in the real estate franchise business.

On the other hand, there are also people who judge everything quickly based on peer opinions, online information, or surface-level assumptions. They often feel they already know enough and don’t want to go deeper into discussions.

Personally, I don’t believe that mindset creates strong partnerships.

Even today, after spending 14 years in business, I never assume I know everything.

For example, if tomorrow I decide to start a food business, I will consider myself a complete beginner in that industry. Even if I know a little bit, I will still approach it with humility, curiosity, and a learning mindset. Only then can I truly understand the depth of that business.

The same applies to real estate.

Even after years in the real estate industry, I still feel I know only a small part of the overall real estate ecosystem. My expertise has largely been in the primary market. If I want to enter the secondary market deeply, I would still seek guidance, consultancy, and domain experts.

The real estate market in India is too large for anyone to claim complete knowledge.

That is why I always believe:

Growth starts when ego ends.

Whenever I explore a new opportunity, I prefer understanding it deeply instead of rejecting it from the outside. Every conversation, every meeting, and every experience adds value when approached with openness.

Entrepreneurship is not about pretending to know everything.

It is about continuously learning, adapting, and evolving.

And this is exactly what I look for in potential franchise partners at Regrob — people with curiosity, patience, openness, and the willingness to build something meaningful together in the real estate franchise sector.

Today, the real estate franchise model in India is growing rapidly because people want structured support, technology, branding, marketing systems, and mentorship instead of struggling alone for years.

My sincere recommendation to anyone exploring a real estate franchise opportunity or any franchise in India is simple:

Spend time before saying yes or no.

Do multiple meetings.

Ask uncomfortable questions.

Understand the culture.

Study the people behind the business.

Because in the end, a successful franchise partnership is not built only on business projections — it is built on alignment, trust, and long-term understanding.

That is where real growth begins.

Over the 14+ years , I have personally interacted with more than 500+ franchise seekers across India through franchise exhibitions, office meetings, city visits, and business networking events.

I have travelled to almost every major city to understand local markets, meet entrepreneurs personally, and understand the ground realities of the real estate business in different regions.

This journey has helped us build and expand more than 100+ successful franchise partners across India.

And one thing I have consistently observed is this:

Successful franchise partners are not always the people with the biggest investment capacity or business background. Most successful partners are the ones who are open to learning, willing to spend time understanding the business deeply, and ready to build long-term relationships with trust and patience.
