About Regrob: From group buying to a real estate franchise network

Regrob started in 2011 with a group-buying concept. The name originally stood for Real Estate Group Buying. We brought buyers together to book multiple properties in the same project and negotiate bulk discounts. We later expanded into individual retail bookings. In 2013, the business was formally registered as Regrob Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd. Our journey in real estate now spans almost 15 years.

IIT and IIM alumni were involved in building Regrob. Ashish Kaushik and Vivek Raman are the company’s two main co-founders, and other stakeholders hold minority stakes. Read the full company profile.

What does Regrob do?

Regrob is a technology-enabled real estate brokerage firm. We follow an asset-light, online-to-offline (O2O) model: customers discover properties and research options online, while our local teams help them shortlist properties, arrange site visits, choose a suitable option, and explore home-loan assistance. We have helped customers buy homes, villas, plots, farmhouses, and commercial properties. Our aim is to support the customer across the property-buying journey.

Regrob’s current franchise guide says we work with 450+ developers across India and with developers in Dubai, Thailand, and other international markets. Our earlier company profile states 400+ developer relationships. We are retaining the figures with their respective source dates until our company records and public pages are aligned. Read the company profile and 2026 franchise guide.

Does Regrob work in new properties, resale, and rentals?

Yes. We work in both the primary market and the secondary market. The primary market involves the first sale of a developer’s property, including pre-launch, under-construction, and ready-to-move projects. The secondary market includes resale and rentals. Our internal description puts approximately 70% of our focus on the primary market and 30% on the secondary market; these proportions should be updated if the current business mix changes.

How does the Regrob franchise model work?

Regrob operates through a franchise network. Our company profile reports 100+ franchise partners across India; a more recent franchise guide reports 120+. Partners come from IT, banking, other corporate careers, homemaking, and entrepreneurship. Many joined without a prior real estate background. The latest partner count should be confirmed with our team before it is used in a commercial proposal.

A franchise partner builds a local property business. The work includes learning the market, understanding developer projects, speaking with buyers, following up enquiries, managing customer records, arranging visits, and leading a team where the plan calls for one. The precise territory, support, fees, and operating obligations depend on the chosen plan and signed agreement. Explore how the franchise model works.

An asset-light business still requires active work. Partners do not need to buy the property inventory they market, but they do need capital for their own operations, time for customer service, and discipline in sales and follow-up. Read Vivek Raman’s article on the asset-light model.

What should you ask before investing in a Regrob franchise?

A franchise is an operating business. Before you apply, prepare answers to these questions:

  1. How much can I invest after accounting for GST, working capital, staffing, marketing, and local costs?
  2. Can I give the business consistent attention and manage customer follow-up?
  3. Which projects and developers are active in my preferred territory?
  4. What leads, training, technology, and employee support does my particular plan include?
  5. Is the territory exclusive, and what rights or limits apply to sub-franchise activity?
  6. How will I recruit, train, and manage a local sales team?
  7. What do the agreement, renewal, royalty, exit, and performance clauses say?
  8. Have I spoken with current partners and tested my assumptions about the local market?

Vivek’s article on choosing the right partner explains why the company now places greater weight on seriousness, customer service, and operating discipline.
